Stop producing Apple in India! They can get along without them, Trump warns Tim Cook

US President Donald Trump has told Apple CEO Tim Cook to stop producing Apple devices in India. Trump made these remarks on Thursday in the Qatari capital of Doha. Trump also spoke freely about a bilateral trade deal.
US President Donald Trump has advised Apple CEO Tim Cook that Apple no longer produces its products in India. Trump himself made this statement in the Qatari capital Doha on Thursday. The US President stated that he advised the Apple CEO, "I hear you're making products in India. I don't want you to make products in India." Trump also stated that India can look after itself and India is doing very well.
Apple devices such as iPhone, iPad, MacBook, AirPods are produced in India. If Apple ceases the production of these devices in India, they will have to be imported from overseas. In this case, prices of iPhone and other Apple devices would most probably escalate in the Indian market.
The US president reported that he had spoken to Cook on Wednesday. Trump reported that he had informed the Apple executive, "If you want to take care of India, you can make things there. Because India is one of the highest-tariff countries in the world. So it's very difficult to sell things in India."
Talking about preventing Apple from producing in India, the issue of India-US bilateral trade agreement also surfaced in Trump's lips. He asserted that America had been offered a free trade agreement by India! The US President has stated, "They (India) literally put a free trade agreement on the table. I said to the team, we are being nice to you. We have put up with the Chinese factories that you've created for years. But we don't want the ones you're creating in India. India can look after itself." IIndia has not issued any official response yet to Trump's remarks.
