The Government of Bihar has announced plans to establish model schools specifically designed to train students for national level entrance examinations. These institutions will focus on preparing candidates for National Eligibility cum Entrance Test and Joint Entrance Examination, two of the most competitive tests in the country.

For years, thousands of students from Bihar have migrated to coaching hubs in other states in search of better preparation facilities. With this new move, the state aims to reduce that dependence and create high quality academic ecosystems locally.

What Makes These Schools Different

Unlike regular government schools, these model institutions are expected to combine formal schooling with intensive exam oriented preparation. The curriculum will reportedly integrate board level studies with structured coaching modules, mock tests and regular assessments.

The plan includes recruiting experienced teachers, introducing digital learning tools and offering mentorship programmes. By embedding coaching into the school framework, students will not have to juggle separate classes and travel long distances for private institutes.

Authorities have opened the application process for eligible students. Admissions are likely to be merit based, ensuring that talented students from various districts get access to these specialised resources.

The initiative is also expected to prioritise inclusivity by providing support to students from economically weaker sections. Affordable or subsidised education could make high level competitive preparation accessible to those who previously found it out of reach.
