After Dhankhar’s Surprising Exit, Who Will Be India’s Next Vice President?

New Delhi on July 23, 2025. Since Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar quit without warning, there is a lot of talk in the political world about who could take over one of India's most important constitutional jobs. The Constitution says that Dhankhar had to step down because of health reasons. He left a vacancy that must be filled within 75 days.

Harivansh Narayan Singh
