Trump Cuts G-7 Short Amid Escalating Iran-Israel War, Urges Tehran Evacuation
The Iran-Israel conflict escalated into its fifth day on Tuesday. The West Asia situation is getting more complex in light of the war between the two nations. The White House has indicated that Trump is being forced to leave without finishing the G-7 summit agenda because of the West Asia situation.
Trump Cuts G-7 Visit Short Due to West Asia Crisis
White House Press Secretary Carolyn Levitt explained that Trump will return to America after dinner with leaders due to the events unfolding in West Asia. CNN quoted that Trump ordered American administration officials to attempt to meet with Iran immediately.
Trump Urges Evacuation of Tehran, Praises Canadian PM
Incidentally, just prior to the news of Trump's slashing of the G-7 meeting agenda going public, the US President released a post on his social media account. In it, he requested everyone to evacuate Tehran. While Trump did not cite any reason for this in the post. He also complimented Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney during that address. He also referred to Carney as a great host.
Nuclear Tensions Spark Military Action
Sirens were sounded throughout Israel on Tuesday morning. The war between Iran and Israel continues. Indeed, the war between Iran and Israel started last Friday. Iran has been accused of operating an uranium enrichment program against international prohibitions. Israel is concerned that Iran is advancing quickly towards the brink of producing a nuclear bomb. Israel bombed Iran's nuclear plant last Friday out of that same fear. Even though Iran insists that its nuclear program is for electricity production and other peaceful purposes.
