On the morning of  August 18 2025 Three Schools in Dwarka received bomb threat emails: Delhi Public School (DPS) Dwarka, Modern Convent School, and Shree Ram World School. The threat messages were sent via email and appeared to have been sent by one sender. The authorities took immediate action, with school officials reporting the bomb threats to the police for evacuation. All students, staff, and visitors were evacuated.

Police Department Swept Each School Thoroughly

After the school evacuations the police, bomb disposal units, dog units, and a fire department team we started searching each school campus thoroughly. Senior Fire Service spokesman confirmed the fire department is not finished yet, and there have been no suspicious items found so far.

Context: A Series of Phony Threats

This incident is just the latest in a chain of bomb threats sent to Delhi-NCR schools. In July 2025 over forty-five schools and three colleges - including sites in Dwarka, Paschim Vihar, Rohini, and Central Delhi - received similar emails that investigators later determined were hoaxes.

In May 2024, over 200 schools across the capital received threat emails which were traced to overseas IP addresses by cyber teams. The Delhi government issued an alert to parents telling them not to panic.

Cyber Units Tracking Down Source

The Delhi Police cyber teams are currently identifying the sender of today's message. Despite preliminary information indicating that all the emails shared similar language, officials suggested the emails were sent by the same person as they are still tracing the IP address.

Safety Remains the Priority

For now, the schools in Dwarka will remain locked down for the day. DPS for example indicated to parents that they should collect their children from designated areas. They will attempt to reschedule any tests or similar events postponed today. Parents will be kept up to date while the team is committed to ensuring everyone's safety.

Conclusion

The bomb threats sent via email to DPS Dwarka, Modern Convent, and ShreeRam World School demonstrate the panic that can ensue, and the disruption to the daily routine of students, teachers, staff and management, under a false alarm. Thankfully nothing was found, and no explosives located, nor anyone exposed to danger given the timely action from the police, bomb disposal team and fire service. While cyber teams investigate who is behind these messages, our priorities remain on security and to keep parents and children calm. Events like these remind us that vigilance and trust in official processes with which to protect educational space, is something we collectively need.
