'Operation Sindoor': Centre announces dates for partial session of Parliament

The central government has declared the dates for the special session of Parliament. The opposition political parties like Trinamool have been demanding a special session in Parliament in the last few days to discuss 'Operation Sindoor'. But the Center has said nothing about the same yet.

Special Session Dates Announced

Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju on Wednesday declared the dates of the special session. The Parliament's special session will start from July 21. It will go on up to August 12.

AAP and Trinamool Push for Accountability

Opposition parties are asking for discussion in Parliament regarding 'Operation Sindoor'. On Tuesday, 16 opposition parties in the nation addressed a letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi at the same time, asking for a special session of Parliament. The names are Congress, Trinamool, CPM, RJD, Samajwadi Party and so forth. Aam Aadmi Party also plans to write a separate letter to Modi on the same matter. Trinamool leader Mamata Banerjee herself tweeted about it. She asked the Center to summon a special session of Parliament once the multi-party delegation returns to the nation.

Army Chief's Interview Sparks Political Reactions

Recently, the nation's Army Chief General Anil Chauhan had an interview with foreign media 'Bloomberg TV'. Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge feels that a number of significant questions have arisen in light of the Army Chief's interview. He posted on social media, "These questions can be asked only when a special session of Parliament is called." He blamed the Modi government for misleading the nation.
