Mandhana's century, bowlers' supremacy, Harmanpreet's India tri-series triumph over Sri Lanka

Batting and bowling - India claimed the trophy with their victory over Sri Lanka in the tri-nation series final due to their performance in both departments. Century from Smriti Mandhana and combined performance from the bowlers aided India's victory. They defeated Sri Lanka by 97 runs.

Batting first, India made 342 runs for the loss of 7 wickets against Sri Lanka. Then they held the opposition to 245 runs. Sneh Rana (4-38) and Amanjyot Kaur (3-54) performed well with the ball. Chamari Atapattu (51) and Nilakshika Silva (48) battled for Sri Lanka.

It was extremely hot during India's batting. Mandhana pulled muscles multiple times while batting in the sun. She battled all that and scored 116 runs off 101 balls. She had also made a half-century in the last match. Mandhana scored 15 fours and 2 sixes. This was her 11th century in one-day cricket.

Mandhana shared a 120-run second-wicket stand with Harleen Deol while Pratik Rawal (30) came in and went quickly. Jemaima Rodrigues, dismissed for four, scored a thrilling 44 from 29 deliveries. Harmanpreet Kaur (41) also batted on. India made 90 runs during the final 10 overs.

Hasani Perera bowled the third ball for Sri Lanka to return with. Atapattu and Vishmi Gunaratne resumed, but neither of them could last long. No Sri Lankan batsman could exhibit the patience needed at the crease to pursue big scores.
