Independence fighter Lalman Sonkar is no more
Independence fighter Lalman Sonkar, who secretly distributed the revolutionary newspaper "Ranbheri" in Kashi during the freedom struggle and was beaten up by the British police many times and went to jail, is no more. Lalman, famous as "Nagar Seth" in the Sonkar community of Kashi, elder brother-in-law of former MP Rajnath Sonkar Shastri and Dr. Vijay Sonkar Shastri, owner of Kamala Sa Mill, died at the age of 90 on Monday night at 9.30 pm at his residence on BLW Manduadih Road. His younger son Dilip Sonkar is a film and TV serial producer, who has produced the serial "Ranbheri" Lal-Rekha based on revolution and the famous mythological TV series "Parshuram and the mega serial "Kashi Vishwanath" based on Kashi Khand.
