Trump's Claimed Mediation Role

Then Trump was heard appreciating the India and Pakistan leaders. He added, "There are lots of great people in Pakistan! There are some great leaders. And India is a friend, Modi! He is a great guy." South African President was also spotted nodding in agreement with Trump.
Conflict and Ceasefire
India initiated 'Operation Sindoor' on the night of May 7 following the terrorist strike at Pahalgaon. After that, tensions have been growing between India and Pakistan because of counter-attacks. After a week of fighting, the two nations finally settled on a ceasefire on May 10. But before India and Pakistan had formally declared the ceasefire, Trump had declared that the two nations had settled for a ceasefire. He argued that America was responsible for this move to create peace. Trump also argued that he wished to mediate in the Kashmir dispute. Trump was also called an 'ambassador of peace' by his office.
