Preity says 'there is no compensation for their sacrifice'
Preity Zinta has taken a big step for the wives of Indian Army martyrs. She became vocal against terrorism after the Pahalgaon incident. She also celebrated the success of 'Operation Sindoor'. This time she has come forward for the widows. The actress has donated one crore rupees for the welfare of the wives of the soldiers who have been martyred.
Honoring the Sacrifice of Soldiers
Preity has taken this step as part of the CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) program of Punjab Kings in the IPL. An event was organized in Jaipur on Saturday. There, Preity spoke about the sacrifice of the soldiers. She said, "It is an honor and a responsibility for me to be able to do something for the brave families of our army. There is no compensation for their sacrifice. We can only be there for the family."
Personal Connection to the Army
Preeti also said, "We are very proud of the Indian Army." The actress herself is from an army family. A few days ago, she wrote in a post, "I am from an army family. So all these incidents hurt my heart deeply. So I cannot remain silent when blood is shed."
The Unsung Strength of Military Families
Preeti feels that their families are stronger than the soldiers. She says, “People from military families are stronger and braver. Have you seen the mothers who give their sons for the country? Have you seen the wives who will never see the smile on their husbands’ faces again? Look at the children who will never see their fathers. This is their reality which will never change. So, best wishes to them.”
