The rumors about Dhanush and Mrunal Thakur’s alleged relationship have been circulating everywhere for a while now. However, many were surprised when it was speculated that the two of them will be getting married in February 2026. Several other weddings took place earlier in the same manner, away from the limelight, such as Vicky Kaushal-Katrina Kaif and Alia Bhatt-Ranbir Kapoor. So, it was not surprising to know that another couple is going to join the bandwidth. However, not all rumors are true!
Dhanush and Mrunal Are Not Tying the Knot!
As the rumors suggested, both the actors were supposed to get married on the eve of Valentine’s Day, February 14, 2026. However, the latest reports reveal that none of these gossips are true. As quoted by HT, “"Mrunal is not getting married next month. This is a rumour which has caught wind.”
Her upcoming film, “Do Deewane Seher Mein” co-starring Siddhant Chaturvedi, is also scheduled to release around the same rumored wedding date. And, as per the source, this definitely doesn't align with Mrunal's character.
The same source further said, “She has a release scheduled for February, why would she get married in such close proximity of her film release? And then in March, she has another film's release in Telugu in March.”
The Relationship Timeline
If reports are to be believed, Mrunal and Dhanush have been dating for quite some time. However, both chose to remain away from the limelight by not confirming their relationship officially. Originally, the rumors started in August 2025 when Dhanush arrived at the premiere of Son of Sardaar 2 and Mrunal reportedly rushed to meet him.
This led many to claim that the former had come especially to attend her film’s screening, and that the two of them were allegedly seeing each other.
Dhanush was earlier married to Aishwarya Rajinikanth but the two of them decided to part ways and officially confirmed their separation on January 17, 2022. They also filed for a divorce in 2024.
