Key Points

·        Apple has not yet released the Siri functions that are driven by AI.

·        The business's AI suite has a cleanup tool, writing tools, and emoji.

·        Visual Intelligence and ChatGPT are also shown in the movie.

Apple released a new movie on Saturday that lets you try out the different Apple Intelligence tools that are currently available on devices that support them and have AI features. The new video came out a few days after the Cupertino-based tech giant released a video showing how its AI-powered picture cleanup tool can be used. The first time the company showed off its AI features was in December 2024, when iOS 18.2 came out. However, the expected updates to Siri and some other advanced Apple Intelligence features have still not been released.

 Apple Showcases AI Support

The company posted the new film on its official YouTube account and on other social media sites as well. Just before the six-minute mark, the video gives viewers a quick look at all the AI tools that are out there, including the brand-new Visual Intelligence, and explains how they can help users.

The company calls the film a tour of its AI suite, and it's likely meant to promote the features to users who haven't yet decided to buy a device that supports Apple Intelligence.

The video shows the new Clean Up tool and how it can remove objects, how to make your own Genmoji, how to use the Mail Summarise feature, how the Writing Tools can help you, how Visual Intelligence can be used, and how ChatGPT's integration gives you more ways to use the AI tools.

Besides that, the tech giant says that the AI features can be used on an iPhone, iPad, or Mac that is suitable. The iPhone 16 series, iPhone 15 Pro models, the iPad mini with the A17 Pro chip, and iPad and Mac models with the M1 chipset or higher are all suitable.

The video is helpful for people who just bought an Apple Intelligence-compatible device or who just got the features in their area. However, most people already know about them because Apple has been heavily promoting these features since the start of the iPhone 16 series.

But the latest round of marketing from the company might be an attempt to deal with the lack of enthusiasm from users and the low rate of adoption. In December 2024, the tech trade-in site SellCell released the results of a poll that asked people what AI features they thought were most important in a smartphone.

The poll found that 47.6% of iPhone users were very interested in mobile AI. However, a huge 73% of Apple Intelligence users said that the new features were either not very valuable  or add little to no value  to their experience. It's important to note that the poll was done four months ago, and since then, Apple has added new features like Visual Intelligence that may have changed how people feel about these tools on their devices.
