Madhya Pradesh 'BJP leader' held for parking car on road and having sex with a woman
'BJP leader' Manoharlal Dhakkar parked his car in the center of the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway and had sex with a woman! Video of the incident has gone viral on social media, giving rise to a commotion. The police have finally arrested the leader. A case has been registered against him under various sections. But the lady who was caught in an objectionable position with Manoharlal in the viral clip is yet to be arrested. Regarding this, a police official confirmed that the whole incident is under investigation. What can be done legally against the woman is being looked into.
Public Indecency
The incident occurred on May 13. Manoharlal was spotted alighting from a white car on the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway near Mandsaur, some 200 km from Indore. He had a woman with him. Apparently, they afterwards made love in the middle of the road. The whole thing was filmed by a CCTV camera along the area. It captures Manoharlal alighting from a white car. A fully naked woman was with him. The two of them had sex after they got out of the car in the middle of the road. The number plate of the car is also clearly visible in the video. The car, as per transport department records, is in Manoharlal's name.
Legal Action
The video has created controversy in different quarters ever since it went viral. Bhanpura police station of Madhya Pradesh has filed a suo motu case against Manohar Lal under charges of public nuisance and obscene conduct. In this context, police officer RC Dangi investigating said, "Manohar Lal has been booked under sections 296 (obscene behavior in public), 285 (obstructing traffic) and 3 (5) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC). We are probing the whole incident. We are probing who or what circulated the video and what is the motive."
Political Disassociation
During the controversy, the BJP has stated that Manohar Lal did not belong to the party. BJP's district president in Mandsaur Rajesh Dixit said, "Manohar Lal is not a BJP leader, nor is he directly linked with the party. He has enrolled as a party member online recently. Such individuals will not be retained in the BJP. His wife, however, is a BJP leader." Manohar Lal's wife Sohan Bai is a member of the BJP-supported zilla panchayat, reports news agency PTI. She currently represents ward number 8 of Mandsaur zilla panchayat.
