Karun Nair and Jitesh Sharma Set to Rejoin Home States
Karun Nair

Karun Nair is not going to play domestic cricket for Maharashtra anymore. Jitesh Sharma is also departing from Maharashtra. Both have made a decision to go back to their respective states. The two cricketers' decision can make one of the best performing teams in domestic cricket last season lose its strength. Karun is a Karnataka cricketer by origin. Jitesh is from Baroda. They have made up their minds to play for their state again. They have already updated the Vidarbha Cricket Association about their decision.

Karun Nair's Performance Sparks Homecoming

Karun came back to the national side after eight years of service after playing well for Vidarbha. But he wants to come back to his state. He scored 863 runs in the Ranji Trophy in the last season, which was the fourth highest in the tournament. Besides this, he is the highest run-scorer in the Vijay Hazare Trophy with 779 runs. The 33-year-old batsman has opted to play for Karnataka once again in order to be with his family. The Karnataka State Cricket Association also stated that Karun will once again play for them next season.

Jitesh Sharma's Baroda Return Confirmed

The Baroda Cricket Association has also confirmed Jitesh's comeback news. All the work regarding his transfer will be done within a day or two. During last season, 31-year-old Jitesh was the captain of Vidarbha in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy. But he did not perform very well in the Vijay Hazare Trophy. He also didn't feature in the Ranji Trophy. But he played quite well for Royal Challengers Bangalore during this year's IPL. His departure from Vidarbha is also rumored to be of a personal nature. He will feature in all forms of matches in home cricket next year.
