Diljit Dosanjh Faces Boycott Calls Over 'Sardarji 3' for Featuring Pakistani Actors

'Sardarji 3' features Pakistani actors such as Hania Aamir, Nasir Chinoti, Daniel Khawar and Salim Alba. There have been calls for the banning of the movie by several parties. On Friday, Federation of Western India Cine Employees (FWICE) president BN Tiwari criticized Diljit. He even threatened to ban him altogether from the entertainment industry in India.

Diljit Faces Backlash Over 'Sardarji 3'

Diljit Dosanjh has been labeled a traitor. The Punjabi performer is at the center of a controversy surrounding the soon-to-be-released movie 'Sardarji 3'. A long time back, the movie was filmed. The movie will release on June 27. There are a few Pakistani actors who feature in the movie. The controversy began there. The reason is that the situation between India and Pakistan, these two nations, has altered following the Pahalgaon incident.

BN Tiwari Issues Stern Warning to Artists

BN Tiwari added, "If Diljit Dosanjh or any other artist acts like this, strong action will be taken against their film as well as against them. They will be charged with not cooperating. There is no room for traitors in this country. The entertainment world will also not be able to assist those who go against this country in any form."

Ban on Pakistani Artists After Pahalgaon Attack

Tiwari added further, "It cannot be done by sitting in this country and assisting others. We have got many such names. They will be out of the entertainment industry if they don't think about the country."

It should be mentioned here that Pakistani artists have been prohibited from working in India since the Pahalgaon attack on April 22. Fawad Khan and Vaani Kapoor's movie 'Abir Gulal', scheduled to release, has also been prohibited.
