Tu Yaa Main: Day 2 Box Office Summary

The survival thriller Tu Yaa Main made a splash on its second launch day following a low-profile launch, as it used the holiday during which lovers celebrated Valentine Day to jump by an impressive 133% in ticket sales. The movie led by Shanaya Kapoor and Adarsh Gourav earned around 1.45 crore on Saturday, which added to the two-day net average in India to 2.05 crore. Although this leap has enabled the film to be shedding more on the lifetime collection of the last film of Kapoor in only 48 hours, it still lags behind the overwhelming box office performance of the Shahid Kapoor O’ Romeo.  

Explosive Growth on Day 2

Tu Yaa Main saw a huge turnaround on its second day and collection increased by an estimated 133. The film had made the most of the Valentine’s Day holiday by grossing 1.40 crore -1.45 crore on a Saturday following a low Friday opening of 0.60 crore. This makes the two day India net close to 2.05 crore which is basically boosted by evening and night shows in urban centers.

Occupancy and Milestone Success

The movie experienced a major increase in theater occupancy levels, which was 18.10 percent on the whole on Saturday as compared to its slow commencement. It is worth noting that the film has already overtaken the lifetime of the previous film of Shanaya Kapoor, Aankhon Ki Gustaakhiyan (₹1.77 crore), within only 48 hours. Afternoon shows came out the most, with a high of 24.40% occupancy as the romantic holiday was bringing people to the survival thriller.

Position in the market and Sunday prospects

The film is at the third position at the box office, after the tremendous growth, following the enormous commercial success of Shahid Kapoor in O Romeo and the running of the Border 2. The trend is favourable, but the Sunday performance (Day 3) is under a significant challenge because of India vs Pakistan T20 World Cup match that is likely to affect the footfall in theaters throughout the nation in the evening hours.
