The tour of England is always a challenging task for the Indian side. Prior to departing on that tour, Bumrah challenged England. He questioned England coach Brendon McCullum is adopting an aggressive brand of cricket for the side.
The Duke's Ball: A Test for Bumrah
English tests are bowled with Duke's ball. That is a test for Bumrah. He stated, "Playing in England is always big. I enjoy bowling with Duke's ball. But now I don't know how Duke will play with the ball. Because that ball changes sometimes. I don't know how it will be now. But the conditions will assist in swinging the ball. However, when the ball gets soft, it is always tough."
Workload Concerns for Bumrah
India used Bumrah excessively in the five-match series against Australia. He conceded 32 wickets in five Tests. Still, Bumrah was unable to bowl during the second innings of the Sydney Test because of an injury. He came back to the IPL after he recovered from that injury. Bumrah will most likely feature in three Tests in England. If he plays more than that amount of Tests, he might be in trouble.
