Bodies of seven members of the same family found inside a locked car in Haryana
The finding of the bodies of seven members of a single family within a closed vehicle has sent shock waves in Panchkula, Haryana. The police are not viewing the death of these seven individuals as an accident at first. Instead, as per the account of witnesses, the seven individuals took their own lives within the vehicle. A suicide note also found in the vehicle.
Tragic Discovery in Haryana
Seven individuals were engaged in a fight within a car — locals alerted the police on Tuesday morning. Police arrived at the scene and smashed the car door and found the seven individuals unconscious. They were taken to hospital, but the doctors pronounced all of them dead.
Victims Identified
Preliminary investigation has found that members of the family belong to Dehradun in Uttarakhand. On Monday, Praveen Mittal, a relative of the family, had visited Bageshwar Dham in Haryana along with his wife and son to participate in a religious ceremony. The accident took place on their return from there. The accident is said to have occurred between Monday night and Tuesday evening. Praveen, 42 years old, his old parents, wife and three children - two daughters and a son - were traveling in the car.
Debt Pressure Suspected
Praveen, who had accumulated much debt in the market, has been found by the police. The investigators are probing if he made this drastic decision with the whole family under pressure from creditors.
Investigation Underway
The police are probing the Haryana tragedy from all possible directions, a police officer in the probe team said. The assistance of a forensic unit is being requested to analyze the suicide note. The bodies have been subjected to post-mortem.
