Allegation that Kamal Haasan has destroyed harmony between Tamilnadu and Karnataka
A few days back, Sonu Nigam had landed in trouble for the Kannada language. And now, Kamal Haasan was charged with disrespecting the Kannada language. During his visit to Bengaluru, Karnataka, the actor had said that the Kannada language is derived from the Tamil language. Then he began receiving sarcastic remarks. This time, a complaint against him was lodged at the police station.
Complaint Filed Against Kamal Haasan
One complaint has been registered against Kamal Haasan by an organization named Karnataka Rakshana Vedike (KRV). The organization has also threatened to paint the face of the actor with ink. They have demanded that Kamal Haasan publicly apologize for his remarks forthwith.
KRV President Demands Public Apology
KRV president Praveen Shetty has stated in the complaint that the comments by the actor are totally illegal. He also complains that the comments are destroying the harmony between the two Tamil Nadu and Karnataka states. The complaint has been filed against the veteran actor at RM Nagar police station in Bengaluru.
Kamal Haasan Refuses to Apologize
The South Indian actor alleges that he has been misunderstood. He uttered these words in love for Karnataka. Kamal is therefore not ready to apologize. He stated, "I will not apologize for words spoken out of love." He added that he has learned about language from a lot of historians.
Kamal Haasan's Statement
Kannada actor Sivajikumar was also present with Kamal during the occasion of the movie 'Thug Life in Chennai'. Kamal has said, "Tamil language is my life and my family. And actor Sivajikumar is another member of my family residing in another state. That's why he came today. And that's why I mentioned at the start, Tamil language is my family and life. And your (Sivajikumar) language was born out of Tamil. That implies you are also with us."
