Cricket is back in its most nostalgic form—with legends, rivalries, and pride on the line. The World Championship of Legends (WCL) returns for Season 2, riding high on the resounding success of its inaugural edition. And leading the charge once again is India’s beloved cricket icon, Yuvraj Singh, who captains the defending champions: Team India Champions.

What makes WCL stand apart is its unique fusion of sport and star power. Co-owned by Bollywood megastar Ajay Devgn, the tournament brings together cricketing legends from six nations—India, England, Australia, Pakistan, South Africa, and West Indies—for an epic showdown on UK soil.

A Star-Studded Line-Up Aiming to Defend the Crown

Backed by Sports Merchants Ltd., a UK-based company passionate about global cricket, Team India Champions returns to the pitch with renewed fire. The addition of Shikhar Dhawan has only deepened an already powerful squad that includes seasoned names like Suresh Raina, Harbhajan Singh, Irfan Pathan, and Robin Uthappa.

The full roster is a perfect blend of match-winners: Yusuf Pathan, Ambati Rayudu, Stuart Binny, Gurkeerat Mann, Siddharth Kaul, Abhimanyu Mithun, Vinay Kumar, Varun Aaron, Piyush Chawla, and Pawan Negi—each bringing their own spark to the field.

WCL 2025 will be played across four iconic UK venues—Edgbaston (Birmingham), Headingley (Leeds), Northampton, and Leicester—with India’s first match scheduled for July 20. Fans in India can catch all the action live on Star Sports, while TNT Sports will broadcast it across the UK.

More Than a Match—A Celebration of the Game

Speaking ahead of the season, Yuvraj Singh shared:

“Playing in the WCL is like reliving the love story we all have with cricket. This isn’t just about winning—it’s about legacy, camaraderie, and giving fans that spark they’ve always cherished.”

Co-owner Sumant Bahl echoed the excitement:

“We’ve strengthened every department this season and are backing our team to defend the title under Yuvraj’s incredible leadership.”
