Creators Yash and Shanaya Makani Land Their Big Break with Guru Randhawa After Their Viral ‘Qatal’ Dance Reel
Guru Randhawa has unveiled his latest dance anthem, Sirra, from his debut album Without Prejudice. The track is a vibrant, high-octane number packed with Guru’s signature style and energy, making it an instant groove-worthy hit.
Interestingly, Sirra also marks a special collaboration. Creators Yash and Shanaya Makani, who earlier grabbed eyeballs with their dance reel on Guru's global hit Qatal, caught the singer’s attention with their effortless moves and unique choreography. Their reel stood out during Qatal’s viral run, and Guru decided to team up with them for his new track.
At a time when countless creators struggle to find the right platform to showcase their talent, Guru Randhawa chose to extend support by featuring them in Sirra. While he brings his powerful vocals to the track, Yash has choreographed the signature hookstep, and Shanaya lights up the video with her spirited performance. This collaboration proves how creators can shine when offered opportunities to amplify their art.
Sharing his excitement, Guru Randhawa said, “Sirra is a very special track for me. It has an unbeatable vibe and is full of energy. Working with Yash was amazing – his choreography brought so much style to the song. I hope we can collaborate again and continue creating dance hits together.”
Choreographer Yash shared, “After Qatal’s release, I created a choreography video for it and posted it online. Guru saw it and reached out for a collaboration. I couldn’t believe it would happen this soon, and now we’ve already shot for Sirra!”
Influencer Shanaya Makani added, “This is my first music video ever. It was an unforgettable experience, made even more special because my closest friend choreographed it. This will always be a milestone moment for me.”
Sirra is penned and composed by Rony Ajnali, Gill Machhrai, and Guru Randhawa himself, featuring additional vocals by Kiran Bajwa. The track showcases Guru’s continued experimentation with dynamic pop beats, reflecting his versatility as an artist. His recently released album, Without Prejudice, under Warner Music India, includes nine eclectic songs like Gallan Battan, Kithe Vasde Ne, Qatal, Snapback, and more – many already ruling charts and playlists globally.
With Sirra, Guru Randhawa further proves why he remains one of India’s most impactful music icons, always ready to champion new talent while redefining pop culture trends.
