Vanga makes a dig at Deepika's 'feminism'

The storm over the film 'Spirit' is full-blown. Deepika Padukone was replaced in the film for asking a huge remuneration and insisting on working only eight hours a day. The so-called 'misogynistic' director Sandeep Reddy Vanga never refrained from targeting the actress for her feminism. 

Deepika's Demands for 'Spirit'

Deepika will share the screen with Prabhas in the movie 'Spirit'. However, the actress made a prerequisite of not shooting more than eight hours a day first. In addition to this, she also asked for a fee of 20 crores. This request is alleged to have resulted in the denial of the opportunity to Bollywood's top actress. Vanga questioned, "Is this the symbol of your feminism?" Deepika's professionalism was also questioned. 

Deepika's Response to Criticism

Deepika recently confronted the media during an event in Sweden. There, she stated that whatever may be, she holds the truth on her side. Deepika stated, "Whenever I'm in a tricky or tough situation, I listen to my heart and decide. I feel most at peace only when I'm able to stand by that decision." Deepika's statement went viral on social media. Thereafter, fans assumed that the actress had made an indirect jest at Sandeep Reddy Vanga.

Vanga's Counter-Criticism

It is noteworthy that Sandeep Reddy Vanga has been criticized for making movies such as 'Kabir Singh' and 'Animal'. Even though the movies performed well at the box office, he was severely criticized. Vanga has even been accused of being a 'misogynist'. In the movies of Vanga, there is no strong female character.
