“Undeserving Winners”: Netizens Slam Uorfi and Nikita as They Win The Traitors

The finale episode of The Traitors aired last night, and now we know who the winners are. Uorfi Javed and Nikita Luther, the innocent players of the game, won the Karan Johar-hosted show. Previously, Uorfi posted a story on her Instagram handle revealing that she had won the show. It went viral before she deleted the story. The internet went crazy at the revelation, but no one was clearly convinced to believe this. 

Elimination of Apoorva in Episode 10 

It was quite obvious and predictable, in episode 9, that Uorfi would vote against Apoorva. According to people on the internet, the elimination of Apoorva aka The Rebel Kid in episode 10 was where the downfall of the finale started. 

The same night, Jasmine was killed by the traitors. The remaining players - Purav, Uorfi, Harsh, Sudhanshu and Nikita qualified as the top five finalists.

Eavesdropping Became the Ultimate Weapon for Uorfi

Uorfi overheard a conversation between Purav and Harsh which confirmed her suspicions about the identity of the traitors. She turned this information into her weapon to eliminate the traitors and win the show. 

In the last Circle of Shaq, she presented her argument on Purav being the traitor which convinced the other players. Therefore, Purav was voted out in the last Circle of Shaq. 

Uorfi’s Strategy to Move Further in the Game 

Uorfi won Harish’s trust by not letting him understand that she knows the identity of the traitors. In the last part of the game “Trust or Shaq”, the players voted against Sudhanshu and eliminated him. On the next chance, Uorfi and Nikita voted against Harsh. Harsh was eliminated and he admitted that he was a traitor. In a video clip, it was revealed that Uorfi and Nikita strategised to eliminate the traitors. The whole situation ended up making Uorfi and Nikita the winners of the season with a prize money of 70 lacs. 

Verdict of the Netizens

Netizens found the final episode vague after the elimination of Apoorva and Harsh as they played quite like the masterminds of the show. They called Uorfi and Nikita’s win “sheer luck” and “totally undeserving”. Some also pointed out that Uorfi’s math worked only because she eavesdropped well or else she would’ve never voted against Harsh. Whereas, Nikita’s win left people in shock. 

Overall, The Traitors Season 1 gained a huge fan following. Prime Video also announced that season 2 is in the making. This raised the anticipation in the fans and everyone wants it to make another dapper comeback with a lot more drama and spice.
