History of Pakistan’s Terror Links
Responding to his son's query, Tharoor laid out a 37-year history of Pakistan's role in some of the world's most infamous terrorist attacks. Tharoor gave three evidences to establish the fact that Pakistan encourages terrorism. The first being the 2008 Mumbai attacks, where the terrorist caught alive by the police turned out to be a Pakistani national. Simultaneously, Tharoor reminded that Osama bin Laden lived in safety under the Pakistani army.
Lashkar-e-Taiba’s Role in Pahalgaon
As the second evidence, Tharoor stated that TRF, the outfit which takes credit for the Pahalgaon incident, is a shadow outfit of Lashkar-e-Taiba. Tharoor stated that this base of Lashkar is located at Pakistan. As the third evidence of Pak involvement, Tharoor mentioned the presence of Pakistani army officers during the funerals of the dead militants.
Operation Sindoor
