Sridevi kisses Mithun's lips on camera! Are the heroine's parents upset after viewing the kissing scene?

Sridevi was one of the most discussed heroines of her times. She belonged to a traditional southern family. It was not so easy to act in films. The actress worked according to her own terms in the domain of roles, cameras, lights, and action. But there was no dearth of controversies in her life either. The heroine did marry the husband of her friend. It is even claimed that she was pregnant at the time of marriage. In the midst of all the controversies, the dominating actress of the eighties could not move from one condition. She had serious objections to acting in kissing scenes on screen.

But she had to undergo an uncomfortable experience once. There was a kissing scene between Sridevi and Mithun Chakraborty in the movie 'Guru'. Her parents were upset upon seeing it. But the heroine asserts that the director employed the lips of some other person for that scene.

Though later on the director lied in front of everyone that it was Sridevi's lips. On this, the heroine mentioned, "Why would I kiss someone else's lips? My parents were very angry due to the director's lie. I was not comfortable playing the role of a rapist. But I had to do that a few times." The audience did not get to see the heroine in any such scene after that.
