Second bomb threat at Jaipur stadium, BCCI anxious before IPL begins

Not once or twice, but three times in succession, the Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur has been threatened to be blown up. The stadium is set to host three matches in the reworked IPL schedule. A series of threatening emails have caused alarm among the BCCI.
On May 8 and 12, threatening emails were sent to the Rajasthan Sports Council to blow up the Jaipur stadium. A bomb was reported to have been placed in the stadium. On May 13, Tuesday afternoon, another email was received. As soon as it was received, the police scanned the whole stadium. They mentioned that this time, as was the case on the first two occasions, the threat was false.
Rajasthan State Sports Council head Neeraj K Pawan mentioned that the security arrangements at the stadium are tight. Thus, there is no need to panic for the fans. Proper arrangements have been made to provide security to all.
Rajasthan vs Punjab is to be played in Jaipur on May 28. Punjab vs Delhi and Punjab vs Mumbai will also be played there after that.
The initial threatening mail was sent at 9.13 am on May 8. It stated, "To celebrate the success of Operation Sindoor, we will blow up your stadium. If you can, show everyone alive." Police indicated that the email was sent from an email ID named 'Pakistan JK Web'.
According to sources, there were a couple of staff working in the stadium at that point of time. They were taken out immediately. The police were also informed about the threatening message. But the IPL was not halted yet. It was also not accurate that Jaipur would be granted two additional matches within the new schedule.
