Prem Chopra Recovering Well, To Be Discharged Soon; Sends Love and Concern for Dharmendra
Veteran actor Prem Chopra is recovering steadily at Mumbai’s Lilavati Hospital and will be discharged soon. The 90-year-old actor’s warm concern for Dharmendra during his own recovery has touched fans across Bollywood.
Veteran actor Prem Chopra, one of Bollywood’s most loved on-screen villains, is on the road to recovery after being admitted to Mumbai’s Lilavati Hospital. His family confirmed that the 90-year-old star was taken in for routine medical observation after a mild viral infection. Thankfully, he has been doing well and is expected to be discharged very soon.
Family sources shared that the actor was never in the ICU, as some rumours suggested. His son-in-law, actor and singer Vikas Bhalla, clarified that Chopra’s condition was stable and there was absolutely no reason for panic. “He’s fine and recovering well. The doctors are happy with his progress,” Bhalla reportedly said.
Discharge Expected Soon
Doctors have indicated that Chopra’s vitals are normal, and he could return home within a day or two. At his age, a bit of extra caution is natural, which is why his hospitalisation was more preventive than critical. Friends and colleagues from the industry have been sending their wishes, and fans across generations are relieved to know their beloved screen legend is on the mend.
His Concern for Dharmendra
Even while recovering, Chopra’s thoughts have been with his longtime friend and colleague Dharmendra, who has also been facing health challenges. People close to the family said Chopra asked about Dharmendra’s condition, showing the deep bond the two veterans share after decades of working together. It’s a quiet reminder that behind the fame, these icons still hold genuine affection and care for each other.
