Pawandeep Rajan in ICU After Road Accident and Major Surgery
Indian Idol 12 winner Pawandeep Rajan is currently in recovery mode at a hospital's Intensive Care Unit (ICU) in the Delhi-NCR area after a serious road accident. The unfortunate event took place on the morning of May 5th while he was on his way to Delhi to catch a flight to Ahmedabad for a performance.
According to his team, the vehicle he was in collided with a parked Eicher Canter, resulting in multiple major fractures and other injuries. He received initial treatment at a nearby facility before being transferred to a specialized hospital for more advanced care.
Last night, Pawandeep underwent a lengthy six-hour surgery to address some of his significant fractures. After the operation, he was moved to the Medical ICU for close monitoring. His team shared an update on his condition via an Instagram story today, May 6th.
The statement read, "Yesterday was incredibly tough for the family and all his supporters. He spent the entire day battling severe pain and was unconscious. After a thorough diagnosis and examinations, he was taken into the operating room around 7 PM, and after six hours, some of his major fractures were successfully treated. He is now in the Medical ICU under observation."
The talented singer's recovery will require additional medical procedures. His team mentioned that "after 3-4 days of rest, he will undergo surgery for the remaining fractures and injuries."
Despite the seriousness of the accident and ongoing treatment, Pawandeep's team reassured fans and well-wishers that he is "doing absolutely fine now." They also expressed heartfelt thanks for the overwhelming support and prayers, stating, "Thank you everyone from the bottom of our hearts for keeping Pawan in your thoughts."
