Part Time Job Fraud: Many people often search for part-time jobs on the internet, and cybercriminals take advantage of this. They lure people into scams by promising high earnings under the guise of part-time jobs. In a major crackdown on this part-time job fraud, the Rewari Cyber Crime Police have arrested three accused and identified all three of them.

Among the three accused caught by the cyber police, one is from Jodhpur district in Rajasthan, another is from Barmer district, and the third is also from Jodhpur district.

Complaint by Dheeraj Yadav

According to information from the cyber police, Dheeraj Yadav, a resident of Dahina village, filed a complaint. He reported that on August 5 of last year, he saw an advertisement on his Facebook account. After clicking on it, he received a message on a Telegram account where he was asked about his date of birth and other details, followed by an offer for a part-time job.

In this part-time job, he was sent a link where he submitted a review for a trading account. In return for submitting the review, he received ₹699. After this, Dheeraj Yadav began to trust this work.

Cyber Scammers Gradually Trapped Him

On August 5, when he earned ₹699, on August 6, Dheeraj Yadav deposited ₹10,000 and submitted 30 reviews. In return, he received ₹17,000. In this manner, the more money he deposited, the higher his earnings grew. Gradually, he transferred approximately ₹4.92 lakh to their various accounts through transactions.

When he tried to withdraw his money after submitting reviews, he was asked to deposit even more money, after which he realized he had been a victim of cyber fraud. He then filed a police report at the cyber police station.

Police Advise Caution

According to information provided by the police, people have been advised to stay cautious. They should not click on any unknown links and should never fall for the lure of high online earnings. One should not deposit money for any job beforehand.
