Operation Sindoor updates

The Indian military successfully conducted 'Operation Sindoor' early Wednesday morning, launching targeted operations against nine "terrorist infrastructure" locations in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK) as a reprisal for the April 22 Pahalgam attack that killed 26 civilians. Immediately after the confirmation of the military strikes in Pakistan, Indian Army tweeted in a post "Justice is served. Jai Hind!".

Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who had promised tough action to the terror strike in Baisaran, kept a close watch on the Operation Sindoor all night.

Colonel Sofiya Qureshi, Wing Commander Vyomika Singh, and foreign secretary Vikram Misri spoke at a briefing on Operation Sindoor and stated that the targets selected by the Indian armed forces were on the basis of solid intelligence inputs and their role in terror activities.

Qureshi also explained that no Pakistani military infrastructure was targeted during the operation.

Foreign secretary Vikram Misri stated that investigation into the Pahalgam terror attack has clearly confirmed Pakistan connections.
