Indian Railways’ New Rule for Passenger Convenience
This new rule has been implemented from May 1, 2025. You will not be able to travel in sleeper and AC coaches with a waiting list ticket. If any person with a waiting list ticket is found sitting in a sleeper coach or AC coach, the TTE has the option to impose a fine. Along with this, the passenger can be transferred to the general compartment.
