Dawn of a Relief: Dharmendra Returns Home
Bollywood legend Dharmendra, 89, has been discharged from Mumbai’s Breach Candy Hospital. His family, including Sunny and Bobby Deol, decided to bring him home for recovery.
Veteran actor Dharmendra is finally back home after being discharged from Breach Candy Hospital in Mumbai. The 89-year-old star had been under medical care for a few days, sparking nationwide concern among his fans. Early Wednesday morning, his family, led by sons Sunny and Bobby Deol, decided he’d recover best surrounded by loved ones rather than hospital walls.
Dr Pratit Samdani, who oversaw his treatment, confirmed that the actor was stable enough to leave and would continue resting at home under medical supervision. The decision came after doctors expressed confidence in his improving health and resilience.
Health Scare That Shook Fans
While Dharmendra was still in the hospital, social media was flooded with speculation and false news about his condition, some even claiming he had passed away. The misinformation spread fast, worrying millions. His wife Hema Malini and daughter Esha Deol quickly addressed the rumours, assuring everyone that he was stable and showing steady progress.
Outside the hospital, several well-wishers and colleagues stopped by to check on him. Familiar faces from the industry, including Aamir Khan and Salman Khan, were spotted visiting, reflecting how deeply the film fraternity cares for one of its most cherished icons.
Looking Ahead
Dharmendra, who recently appeared in Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya alongside Shahid Kapoor and Kriti Sanon, is set to be seen next in Ikkis, a war drama directed by Sriram Raghavan featuring Agastya Nanda. The film is expected to release later this year.
For now, the focus is entirely on his rest and comfort. Surrounded by family, in the familiarity of home, the actor is reportedly in good spirits. His return marks not just a recovery milestone but also a moment of relief for fans who’ve grown up watching him light up the screen for over six decades.
Dharmendra’s journey back home is a reminder that even legends need time to heal and sometimes, the best medicine is being with family.
