Weekly Poll: Pixel 10 and 10 Pro Shine, XL and Fold Garner Less Confidence
Google Pixel 10 series poll reveals the Pixel 10 Pro XL as the most anticipated model, while the Fold struggles with low interest and delayed availability.

"Which Pixel 10 series phone will you buy?" was the question asked in a recent poll, which was done just days before Google's Made by Google launch on August 20. The data showed that consumers' confidence was changing across the board.

It was clear that people really wanted the Pixel 10 Pro XL; it got 36% of the votes. The Pixel 10 Pro came in second with 27.5% of the votes, while only 15.6% of people were interested in the base Pixel 10. The foldable Pixel 10 Pro Fold had a hard time getting popular, making less than 13%, and almost 8% of people just said they weren't going to buy any model.

What's Making It Popular—and Unpopular?

The Pixel 10 Pro XL is still the most-anticipated model, even though there are some concerns. The good thing about it is that the 6.8-inch Super Actua OLED screen has a peak brightness that is about 10% brighter, reaching 3,300 nits for better visibility in bright situations. It has Google's newest chip, the Tensor G5, inside, which gives it better CPU and multi-core speed, but benchmarks still show that it's not as fast as Samsung and Apple's flagships.

When it comes to cameras, Google's Super Res Zoom—which uses advanced on-device AI to push digital zoom up to 100×—adds an interesting twist to its standard triple-camera hardware (50 MP main, 48 MP ultrawide, and 48 MP closeup). It also has AI-powered features like Live Translation, Camera Coach, Pixel Journal, and other Gemini-powered tools that will appeal to people who want to take pictures without using their hands.

Lack of Interest in the Fold

The Pixel 10 Pro Fold, on the other hand, lacks excitement. Its release date has been pushed back to October 9, which means that buyers won't be able to get it until after the regular models start shipping on August 28. Even though the Fold has a more advanced design, a bigger internal display, and high-end tech, that gap may be keeping people from buying it.

In a broader sense

The question makes one thing clear: users want devices that have a great screen, strong AI features, and interesting camera improvements without having to wait a long time to ship. The Pixel 10 Pro XL has those features—at least in people's minds—while the Fold, even though it's innovative, is held back by timing and doesn't have as much instant appeal.
