Punjab owners fight ahead of play-offs! Preity Zinta sues ex-boyfriend

Preity Zinta has lodged a case against the co-owners of Punjab Kings once again. The Bollywood actress is among the owners of Punjab Kings. Her franchise has qualified for the playoffs of this year's IPL. But the battle between the owners is not abating. The battle began prior to the auction. Preity had lodged a case earlier as well. She has lodged a case once again.

Battle Over Punjab Kings Ownership

Preeti has also lodged a case against Mohit Burman and Ness Wadia in Chandigarh court. Out of them, Ness is Preeti's ex-boyfriend. The two are divorced. The major share of the Punjab Kings team's ownership is with a firm named KPH Dream Cricket Private Limited. Preeti, Mohit and Ness are the three owners of the firm. But Preeti claims that a meeting was convened on April 21 without adhering to the rules.

Rule Violations in Meeting

Preeti further claimed that she had written an opposition mail on April 10 since the rules were not being obeyed. But her opposition was not taken into consideration. Ness and Mohit, Preeti's former boyfriends, arranged for the meeting together. Preeti attended there. But she has filed a petition for declaring the meeting illegal. She has also sought the cancellation of all the decisions made at that meeting. Preeti has got Karan Paul in her support. He is also the co-owner of Punjab Kings.

Previous Accusation

A few months back, in August last year, Preeti had lodged a case against Mohit. Then, the actress accused Mohit of attempting to sell the ownership illegally. Preeti and her former boyfriend Ness Wadia are owners of 23 percent of Punjab. Mohit owns 48 percent. Karan Paul holds the rest of the 6 percent. Preeti alleged that Mohit is attempting to illegally sell her share to another individual. Still, she said, "I have no plans to sell my shares."

Dispute Over Share Sale Agreement

Preeti claimed that there exists a deal among them about the ownership. It is clear that in case the other person desires selling his/her ownership, he/she has to offer it first to the other owners. If no one among the others offers to buy it, then only can it be sold to some other individual. Here, it is not being accepted. Up till now, however, Mohit has offered his ownership to no one.
