The United States of America is heading towards tougher immigration policies. Donald Trump has totally banned the citizens of 12 nations from visiting the nation. He has partially restricted citizens of seven other nations from visiting the United States of America.

Trump Calls for Total Immigration Ban

On Wednesday, Trump posted on social media, "We cannot allow immigrants from any country." In defending the move, Trump mentioned the recent Colorado attack. It should be remembered that in this last Sunday incident, an Egyptian national hurled a 'fire bomb' at a crowd outside a shopping mall in Colorado. 

New Travel Ban Targets Over Nations

Trump's directive will exclude citizens of Afghanistan, Myanmar, Chad, the Republic of the Congo, Equatorial Guinea, Eritrea, Haiti, Iran, Libya, Somalia, Sudan and Yemen from entering the United States on June 9. Citizens of Burundi, Cuba, Laos, Sierra Leone, Togo, Turkmenistan and Venezuela have been partially banned from entry. Terrorist activity is being nurtured in numerous countries under sanction, according to the White House.

White House Cites Security Risks 

Here, Washington is referring to the instances of Taliban-ruled Afghanistan, Iran and Cuba. Once more, there have been allegations against nationals of nations like Chad or Eritrea that they are residing in the United States or attempting to reside even after their visas expire. Trump stated that his move is aimed at blocking Islamic terrorists from entering.
