What is PM Kisan Mandhan Yojana

We know that there are crores of farmers in our country who, after reaching a certain age, are unable to do farming work. The government has started a scheme to provide financial assistance to these farmers, named PM Kisan Mandhan Yojana. Through this scheme, farmer brothers across the country who are above 60 years of age and are unable to earn in any way will be provided a pension of ₹3000 every month.

Eligibility for PM Kisan Mandhan Yojana

Under this scheme, all farmer brothers residing in India who are between 18 and 40 years of age can apply. The applying farmer brother will have to deposit a monthly installment ranging from ₹55 to ₹200. The government also deposits an equal amount on its behalf. After that, when the farmer brother completes 60 years of age, he will start receiving a pension of ₹3000 every month. In the event of the farmer’s death, 50% of the pension will continue to be given to his spouse.
