Domestic Gas: You might be using gas from different companies to cook in your kitchen. Currently, in India, companies like Indian Oil Corporation, Indane Gas, HP Gas, and Bharat Gas provide LPG cylinders. Meanwhile, in some metro cities, gas is also being supplied through pipes. The price of this gas supplied through pipes varies across different companies, and as a result, customers often have to buy pipe gas at higher prices.

However, the government has now tightened its grip on these companies by issuing a new order to urban gas retail distributors. According to this order, all the different prices being charged for natural gas supplied through pipes for cooking in homes will be discontinued, and from now on, it will all be provided to customers at a single rate.

Gas Companies Charge Extra Money

Many companies charge extra money for supplying natural gas through pipes to your kitchen. If you use more gas than the limit, they impose arbitrary fees on you. With this new government order, urban gas retail distributors will have to pass on the full benefit to customers. As a result, the price of natural gas used in kitchens will become lower than the market price.

According to information received from the Petroleum and Natural Gas Regulatory Board, it has been found that city gas distribution companies in many cities charge arbitrary prices from customers, causing them to spend more money. To put an end to this wrong practice, pricing is currently being determined. However, no information has been provided about which companies this restriction is being imposed on or which company is charging arbitrary fees.
