Launch & Price in India

In September 2025, the Samsung Galaxy S25 FE was launched. The starting price in India for the 128GB base variant is ₹ 59,999. The primary objective of the device is to offer a lot of the high-end features of the S-series under the "Fan Edition" label.

Design & Display

The S25 FE is more couturier and significantly lighter as compared with its previous version. The phone thickness is 7.4mm and its weight is just about 190 g. It keeps the matte glass back but has a new Armor aluminum frame plus it includes the water/dust resistance of IP68.

On the front, the phone features a 6.7-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X display with a resolution of 3200x1440 and 120Hz adaptive refresh rate (also 60Hz and 8Hz available). The viewing experience is both colorful and smooth, but the outdoor visibility in bright sunlight is a little disappointing.

Performance & Software

Inside, the phone comes with an Exynos 2400 chipset which is the same used in S24 series. 8 GB RAM (LPDDR5X) and 512 GB storage (non-expandable) are available. As a result, the phone will glide through your everyday tasks and applications like a breeze. Running heavy benchmarks might not be a problem for this device. The same goes for playing (softwares like BGMI). However, prolonged usage turns into overheating.

The phone is powered by Android 16 with Samsung's One UI 8 as its skin. Samsung also promises that along with 7 years of OS upgrades the device will also receive 7 years of security upgrades.

Camera Capabilities

The main camera includes a 50MP sensor, 12 MP ultrawide, and 8 MP telephoto lens (3× zoom optical). Three cameras on the back of the S25 FE will be more than enough for the average users of the well-lit scene to take a photo of a sharp image that is close to the original color.

On the other hand, at night, the noise becomes quite noticeable and the camera performance is worse than that of its rivals at this price point. However, the FE front camera also gets an upgrade with a 12MP selfie lens which is good for video calls and takes pictures with natural skin color.

Battery & Charging

A major strength of the new model is the battery capacity. It makes use of a high capacity 4,900 mAh battery. If you use it under mixed conditions, it will cover a full day, that is to say, 24+ hours with light gaming, calling, and browsing.

Charging is done through a 45 W wired (Super Fast Charging 2.0), but it is not that fast – the whole recharge takes over an hour.

Gaming & Thermal Behavior

The S25 FE will be a good choice for gaming enthusiasts, as it will not disappoint them with its performance during their playing sessions. Playing in high quality on popular games is still smooth and will last a long time without any interruptions.

Nevertheless, some heating is there by nature - strong/improved long-time playing and/or video rendering will push the device to get quite warm. To tell the truth, heat dissipation doesn't slow down the performance.

Final Verdict

The Samsung Galaxy S25 FE 5G is a good effort to combine the desirable elements of a premium smartphone and its long-term use in a budget-friendly way. Mainly, the display, battery life, and software support are all very good. Unfortunately, there will be a trade-off between a camera in a low-light situation and some heating at a moderate level when under load. This smartphone is quite attractive to the middle-to-upper users who want a flagship-feel without flagship pricing, especially if your main priorities are display, updates, and balanced use.
