Season of sequels in B-town? The trailer of Dhadak 2 premiered this afternoon and here’s what we think about the trailer.
The trailer of Dhadak 2 is finally here and it’s nothing like it’s predecessor. While Dhadak gave us a dreamy debut of young love, the sequel takes a darker turn by showing the prevalence of a deep-rooted caste system in today’s time. With Siddhant Chaturvedi and Triptii Dimri leading the charge, and Shazia Iqbal directing, this one won’t just tug at your heart, it will leave a lingering effect. The trailer is raw, real, and ready to spark conversation.
Dhadak 2 is backed by the powerhouse trio - Dharma Productions, Zee Studios, and Cloud 9 Pictures, with Karan Johar among the producers. The name, Karan Johar, itself will drag the attention of the audience.
Love With A Purpose
Dhadak isn’t just a love story but a story of two lovers fighting against the odds to stay united. Capturing our hearts as Nilesh and Vidhi will be Siddhant Chaturvedi and Tripti Dimri, two actors known for their powerful screen presence. Siddhant and Tripti are coming together for the first time which makes them the new on-screen power couple of B-town. Their chemistry in the trailer looks fierce and promising, turning heads already.
Nilesh and Vidhi, as shown in the trailer, are classmates who are studying LLB. They eventually fall in love but Nilesh’s status in the society poses a problem. The age-old caste system prevails in the nooks of every city till date and the movie is going to address the same.
Nilesh warns Nidhi to stay away from him but what’s pyaar-ishq-mohabbat without a little resilience and a bigger portion of drama?
“Pyaar Kiya Toh Darna Kya?”
Dhadak 2 thematically narrates the fact, “Pyaar kiya toh darna kya?” and the survival of a young couple against society’s bitterness towards them. Shifting away from the fairytale gloss of Dhadak, the sequel tackles caste conflict head-on.

Dhadak ended tragically with ‘love’ losing the war. Now only time will predict the climax of Dhadak 2. We will know soon because the movie will be released in cinemas on August 1, 2025. Will Nilesh and Vidhi find solace in each other even after facing societal pressure?
