Bihar Teacher: Good News for 26000 Teachers in Bihar, Government Issues Such Directives

Bihar Teacher: The state government of Bihar has allocated transfers for more than 26000 teachers in government schools. The transferred teachers have now been assigned new schools. Teachers who wanted to get their transfers done had been asked to submit applications. The teachers who applied have been waiting for these transfer orders for quite some time. When the government invited applications, about 190000 teachers had applied for transfers, out of which the transfer orders of around 26000 teachers have been accepted.

Teacher Transfers in Bihar

On Thursday, an order was issued by the Directorate of Primary Education, in which the new districts have been allocated for the teachers whose transfers have been accepted. A total of 6 transfer categories have been created, under which 26665 teachers have been allocated schools through the e-Shikshakosh portal. Teachers can now obtain information on the Education Department’s e-Shikshakosh portal. More than 190000 applications were received for this transfer.

Some time later, about 11000 teachers withdrew their applications. By 20 June 2025, all teachers whose applications have been accepted will have their new schools allocated. Those teachers who have not yet been allocated schools will get their school allocation in the next 1 to 2 days. Most of the allocations have been made on the Education Department’s e-Shikshakosh portal.

Teachers Will Get Their Preferred District

Many teachers are posted in far-off districts, away from their homes, and have been serving in government jobs for a long time. They want their transfer to their home district or a nearby district so that they can perform their duties while staying close to home. Now, due to the new order issued by the Bihar Education Directorate, happiness is likely to be seen on the faces of many teachers.
