Punishment for Uploading Porn Videos on YouTube

The government has made provisions for punishment under the IT Act and the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita for such cases. Let us tell you that the government keeps a close watch on such digital activities. If you upload any kind of obscene material on any digital or electronic platform under Section 67 of the IT Act, it is a crime. If caught, you could face up to 3 years of imprisonment and a fine of up to ₹5 lakh.

If you are caught uploading porn videos, you could face a 5-year jail term and a fine of up to ₹10 lakh. Besides this, various other legal sections could also be imposed on you.

Punishment for Sharing Obscene Material

If any person spreads obscene material that is already available on the internet, there is a provision for up to 2 years of imprisonment for that. If such material is shown to children, an even stricter punishment is provided. In such cases, you will not get any leniency from the High Court or court, and you will face the strictest punishment. Along with this, your YouTube channel will also be permanently shut down.
