PM Suraksha Bima Yojana: The Government of India runs various schemes to provide security and financial assistance to its citizens. One such scheme is the Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana. Under this scheme, people are provided with insurance. Generally, to get insurance, a hefty premium amount has to be deposited every month, but under this scheme, by paying just ₹20 every year, you can obtain a security insurance of ₹2,00,000.

What is PM Suraksha Bima Yojana

Under this scheme run by the government, accident insurance coverage is provided. You can get this insurance by paying a premium of less than ₹2 per month. For this, you have to deposit a premium of ₹20 every year, which is deducted directly from your bank account. Started in 2015, crores of people have registered under this scheme so far. If death occurs due to any road accident, ₹2,00,000 is given to the nominee or family.

If, due to any reason, a person becomes disabled in an accident, in such a situation, ₹1,00,000 is provided under this scheme, and ₹2,00,000 is given for the financial assistance of the family. This scheme is run to provide financial assistance to your family in critical situations.

Premium Amount Deposited Every Year

To avail the benefits under the scheme, you just need to visit your nearest bank and apply for the Suraksha Bima Yojana. After that, a premium amount of ₹20 is deducted from your bank account every year, and you can regularly avail the benefits of this scheme. Indian citizens aged 18 to 70 years can apply and benefit from this scheme. Once you apply for the scheme, the premium amount is auto-debited from your bank account every year.
