IPL shake-up for India's junior team, captain Dhoni's team on England tour

Not only the senior or 'A' team of India, but even the Under-19 team is set to tour England. That team was released on Thursday. Vaibhav Suryavanshi got the chance. Ayush Matre, playing for Mahendra Singh Dhoni's team Chennai Super Kings, has been appointed as the captain.

The Under-19 squad will feature in all three forms. One 50-over practice game, five youth one-dayers and two 'multi-day' games will be contested.

Vaibhav became 14 last month. Rajasthan purchased him for Rs 1.1 crore in the mega auction last season. The door for Vaibhav to the first XI was opened by Sanju Samson's injury. Vaibhav has made proper use of that opportunity. He made a 35-ball century against Gujarat. He made a half-century against Chennai.

Chennai's Matre is no lesser than anyone. He has also shown his worth by receiving an opportunity as a replacement player. Matre was picked as a replacement for Ruturaj Gaekwad. He has made 206 runs. Among those, 94 runs were scored off 48 balls against RCB.

India U-19 squad: Ayush Matre (skipper), Abhijyan Kundu (vice-skipper), Vaibhav Suryavanshi, Vihan Malhotra, Maulyrajsinh Chavda, Harvansh Singh, R.S. Ambarish, Kanishk Chauhan, Khilan Patel, Henil Patel, Yudhajit Guha, Pranab Raghavendra, Mohammed Enan, Aditya Rana and Anmoljit Singh.
