Delhi Police Recruitment Notification 2025: If you are dreaming of a job in the Delhi Police Department, start your preparation soon because the Delhi government has provided information about new recruitments. According to a report received through a newspaper, more than 8,000 vacancies are set to be announced. The notification for these recruitments will soon be released by the SSC. These recruitments can come anytime between June and September, and the training of the selected candidates under this recruitment will also begin next year so that they can be inducted into the Police Department by 2027.

So far, the information received indicates that there are 185 police stations in Delhi where 20,000 to 25,000 police personnel are deployed. In a place like Delhi, where crime rates are high, a shortage of police personnel creates significant challenges in maintaining control. For this reason, the Delhi government has announced an increase in the number of police personnel. Talking about the current recruitment, the recruitment process is ongoing for 356 posts, which include 186 Sub-Inspector and 170 isolated posts.

Under the previous recruitment, an advertisement was issued on March 4, 2024, and their examination was conducted on March 8, 2025. For isolated posts, 83 candidates have already been selected, and soon the Delhi government will issue appointment letters for them.

Recruitment for 149 Posts Separately

The Delhi government will announce a total of 149 vacancies for four different types of posts in the Police Department. This recruitment will include posts for band members, dog handlers, buglers, and horseback riders.

How Many Posts Will Be Recruited

In this recruitment of 8,000 posts by the Delhi government, posts like Sub-Inspector, Havildar (Ministerial), Havildar, Constable (Driver), General Constable, and MTS are expected to be included. It is believed that notifications for all posts will be released at different times, and examinations will also be held at different times. These notifications will be issued anytime between June 16 and mid-September.
