Bollywood actor Suniel Shetty's daughter Athiya Shetty recently became a mother. She tied the knot with Indian cricket sensation KL Rahul in 2023. Athiya welcomed a baby girl in March this year. Rahul and Athiya posted a series of photos on Instagram on Sunday and announced the name of their daughter - Evara. Meanwhile, Evara's grandfather Suniel Shetty has begun facing social media ridicule.

During a recent media interview, Sunil stated that his daughter's mental toughness was too great. That is why he did not desire to give birth to a child through a comfortable surgical method. Rather, he gave birth to his daughter by suffering from the agony of labor. Sunil explained, "When all the people in this world want to deliver a child comfortably via C-section, my daughter opted for a natural delivery. I recall how all the nurses and pediatricians at the hospital spoke of how Athiya took it so well. It touched me as a father. I felt, 'Wow, my daughter is ready'." According to Sunil, Athiya never once indicated that she was tired.

But following this, Sunil was confronted with sarcasm. A netizen posted on social media, "The C-section procedure is so comfortable! What smoke does Sunil smoke?" Another asserted, "It shook you! It will. You didn't have to cut your vagina for someone else." Another netizen posted, "I guess the C-section procedure is indeed comfortable. But doesn't a woman have the right to enjoy that comfort? Particularly when the baby isn't afflicted by it." But the actor remained silent on this.
