Annual Fastag Pass Rules: From 15 August 2025, a new service related to Fastag has been launched across the country, named the Annual Fastag. After getting the Annual Fastag, if any person travels on a national highway, they will get up to 200 trips free within 1 year, and they won’t have to pay any toll for it. However, to get this pass, you will need to deposit ₹3000 at once.

The government had announced this scheme a while ago. Nitin Gadkari had informed that it would start from 15 August. This Annual Fastag will be valid only on express highways and roads built by the National Highways Authority of India. It will not be valid on any road constructed by state governments or district councils.

In this case, most people don’t know that this will apply only to national highway roads, so do they need to get a separate pass for state highways? For your information, let us tell you that you don’t need to get a separate pass for state highways because your Annual Fastag will be linked with the Fastag already installed in your vehicle. In this case, on state highways, your Fastag toll tax will be automatically deducted from your bank account.

Pay Attention to This with Fastag

When you travel on a national highway or any expressway or highway of the National Highways Authority of India, the toll will be deducted from the 200 trips provided by your Annual Pass. However, you also need to maintain a balance in your Fastag so that whenever you pass through a state highway or any other highway, the toll is automatically deducted there. Both systems will work together, so you need to maintain a balance in both.
