Kumaran’s Commanding Win Puts Kichcha’s Kings Bangalore in Spotlight

Saturday’s high-octane opener saw Kyle Kumaran turn up the heat for Kichcha’s Kings Bangalore, steering his way to the team’s first victory of the season in the Indian Racing League (IRL). Starting from pole, Kumaran maintained perfect control over the 2.4 km track, staying calm under pressure and never losing his lead.

“This win means a lot — the car felt great, and the team gave me everything I needed to deliver,” Kumaran said, his joy evident as the crowd erupted. His teammate Neel Jani fought brilliantly from seventh to third, giving the team a double podium finish, while Akhil Rabindra of Hyderabad Black Birds took a well-fought second.

It was a race that underlined not just skill but strategy — every lap a blend of precision, timing, and nerve.

Sato’s Dream Debut in Formula 4 Steals the Show

If Kumaran owned the IRL, Itsuki Sato made the Formula 4 Indian Championship his stage. Making his Indian debut for Ahmedabad Apex Racers, the young Japanese driver delivered a flawless pole-to-flag victory.

Taking advantage of a grid penalty to Chennai Turbo Riders’ Shane Chandaria, Sato showcased poise beyond his years. Against a competitive global field  from Japan, South Africa, Mozambique, and Australia Sato crossed the finish line first with a commanding 27:10.989, leaving rivals Ghazi Motlekar and Saishiva Sankaran trailing close behind.

“I wanted to make my mark here — and I did,” Sato said with a grin. His precision and composure made him the day’s breakout star.

Agarwal Leads Dark Don Racing to Double Delight

The Formula LGB4 segment of the JK Tyre FMSCI National Racing Championship belonged entirely to Mehul Agarwal. The Dark Don Racing driver clinched back-to-back victories, clocking 20:13.369 in Race 1 and 18:01.251 in Race 2. Even a mid-race red flag couldn’t break his rhythm.

Agarwal’s dominance wasn’t just about speed — it was about control, consistency, and teamwork. Teammates Aditya Patnaik and Diljith T S ensured the podium stayed crowded with Dark Don colors, while Dhruvh Goswami of MSport pushed hard but had to settle for second in both races.

India’s Motorsport Revolution Gains Momentum

Reflecting on the weekend’s energy, Akhilesh Reddy, Chairman & MD of Racing Promotions Pvt. Ltd., spoke passionately about India’s racing future.
