Bharti Airtel is the first telecommunication company in the world to collaborate with software giant Adobe to offer one year of free access to Adobe express Premium to its 360 million subscribers in India. The offer is valued at almost 4000 a year and is available to all existing Airtel mobile, Wi-Fi, and DTH subscribers. The Airtel Thanks App allows users to use it to avail the benefit without a credit card. The project will enable students, small businesses, and digital creators to go pro by making high-end design and AI-based creativity tools broadly available.

One-Year Free subscription through Airtel Thanks App

Airtel customers under the partnership will have the opportunity to get an annual subscription of Adobe Express Premium without any extra fees. The reward will be redeemed automatically by directly accessing the Airtel Thanks App in the “Rewards section or Benefits section and the activation process will be frictionless. Notably, no payment or credit cards are needed, and that reduces the entry barriers to first-time users. The proposition is applicable to all active Airtel subscribers such as prepaid, postpaid, broadband (Wi-Fi) and DTH subscribers, which makes it one of the most extensive digital offerings implemented by an Indian telecommunications company. Adobe Express is also configured to support various Indian languages like Hindi, Tamil, and Bengali, in addition to English, and this allows the regional users to feel more at ease with the platform. The move is part of the wider Airtel strategy of moving beyond connectivity and providing high-value digital services to their customers.

AI-Driven Design Solutions and Premium Creative Materials

Adobe express premium is a highly extended platform with many advanced features that are offered to ease the creation of professional level work. Such AI-based applications include text-to-image generation, immediate background elimination, and one-tap editing of videos, which allow the user to spend a lot less time and effort on creating professional-looking images. Another privilege of the premium subscription is access to more than 200 million Adobe Stock photos and videos along with more than 30,000 professional fonts and thousands of ready-to-use templates. Most of the templates are adjusted to the Indian festivals, local businesses and social media trends and therefore are of particular concern to the local market. Moreover, the users are given 100GB of cloud storage, 250 debasement AI credits monthly, and can export content without a watermark, which is often reserved for professional users.

Support Students, Small Businesses and Content Creators

The Airtel-Adobe joint venture is set as a move towards democratising professional design tools in India. The initiative also allows students to develop resumes, presentations, and academic projects without the need to pay to remove cost barriers, as small business owners can develop marketing materials, flyers, and digital advertisements without contracting the services of designers. It can also be beneficial to content creators and influencers who are able to create high-quality content in the form of social media posts and videos more efficiently. Strategically Airtel is enhancing loyalty by bundling high-quality digital services, whereas Adobe is expanding in one of the fastest growing creator economies in the world. Observers in the industry view this alliance as a change in the way telecom companies create value this is no longer pure connectivity, but the opportunity to drive productivity, innovativeness, and digital entrepreneurship at scale.
